Ikeya Zhang was the first comet I tried to webcam image.
I didn't have an equatorial mount as such so I placed the 80mm Konus refractor on a tripod, on my homemade equatorial platform. This was far from ideal but I did manage to capture the comet... just!

All the pictures here were taken on the 22nd April 2002.

Conditions were far from ideal. The comet was barely above the roof of my neighbours house and within 10 degrees of my nearest (and most hated ;o) street lamp. The orangy sky glow says it all.
